Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 13, 2026

1. Who We Are

PatchBay Pro (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a web-based show documentation tool for live sound engineers. This policy describes how we handle your information when you use our website at patchbaypro.com and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google). We use Firebase Authentication by Google to manage sign-in.

Show data. Patch lists, stage plots, gear configurations, and other show documentation you create are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB) and, when you are signed in, synced to Google Cloud Firestore so you can access your data across devices.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or full card details on our servers. Stripe provides us with a customer ID, subscription status, and the last four digits of your card for display purposes. See Stripe's privacy policy for details on how Stripe handles your payment data.

Usage data. We may collect basic analytics such as page views, feature usage, and error reports to improve the product. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve PatchBay Pro
  • To sync your show data across devices via cloud storage
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)
  • To respond to support requests
  • To detect and prevent abuse or security incidents

We do not use your data to train machine learning models. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe in their PCI-compliant environment.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge functions

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing terms.

6. Shared Shows

When you share a show via a link, the show data (patch list, stage plot, gear configuration) is made publicly accessible to anyone with that link. Shared shows do not expose your account email, payment information, or other personal data. You can revoke a share link at any time from the share dialog.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your show data is retained as long as your account is active. Local data in your browser persists until you clear your browser storage. If you delete a show, it is removed from both local storage and cloud storage.

To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Cookies

PatchBay Pro uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

PatchBay Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data (via PDF export or by contacting us)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of PatchBay Pro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
